Final Tip for Tax Time
Tip #4
If you follow this procedure and do your credit card statment match with receipts on a monthly basis, then you won’t be so frazzled at tax time next year because all your receipts will together.
During the month, just place the receipts in a envelope labled with the specific credit card number so you know those receipts go with that credit card statement.
We hope these tips have been helpful for tax time.

Here is another tip – Matching and Staple Receipts
Tip #2
It is best to take one credit card statment at a time, go through it and match up all receipts to the statement.
Staple the receipts to the statement.
Contine this same process with each monthly statement and then place all the monthly credit card statements for each credit card in a large manilla or yellow “bank” envelope.
Label the envelope – CC #<cc number> and then <your company name and year>.
When your accountant gets your credit card statments, they are in a neat manner which mean he will be done with your taxes faster.

Here is just a few tax time tips that we have learned for the floor cleaning small business owner (actually, these tips can work for any small business):
Tip #1
Place your receipts with the appropriate type of statement (ie: credit card, debit, cash)that you made the purchase.
* Be sure to place the purchase receipts that you made with your credit cards, with the credit card statement and not the type of receipt it was. For example, don’t just place all your gas receipts together for each month, if you purchased some of your gas with cash, some with debit and then others with a credit card.
